Letterform Design Project

What is a letterform design?

In typography, "letterforms" is often used to describe the study and design of individual letters while typography applies to the design and use with letterforms. In another sense letterform applies to the individual shapes of letters that gives a text an aesthetic.

What was your job as the designer?

My job as the designer was to create a unique and interesting piece that illustrates the five main principles of design.

What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some of the challenges I faced during this project were trying to incorporate the five main principles of design into the piece while trying to make each box different. It was also difficult to decide which colors worked best with which design.

Do you feel you successfully completed the project? Why or why not?

I feel that I did successfully complete the project. I feel that I created a variety of designs that, when put together, mesh well.

If you can change something about the project what would it be and why?

One thing I would change about my project is the order of the letterform boxes, however; that does not follow the project rubric.
